Frugal Friday: Two Latte Art Cards

Hi everyone!Today is Frugal Friday so I pulled out my August SP Monthly kit contents and went to town. I ended up filming one card from start to finish and then my camera died. I was having so much fun that I made an extra card too. Below I have not one, but TWO Latte Art projects :)Along with today’s new SP Flair release, I also released some AMAZING new Woodgrain cardstock!! This stuff is super awesome and I can’t wait to see what you guys make with it. As a special bonus, the new SP Flair and Woodgrain Cardstock are all on sale, this weekend only!I used some of our brand new Woodgrain cardstock for these projects. The dark brown cardstock is Walk the Plank Woodgrain Cardstock, shown here. It’s hard to see the woodgrain on this photo. See the photo below that for a better look. This cardstock rocks my socks off!! I love it!

Just a little word of warning, the Walk the Plank woodgrain cardstock is darker than our Walk the Plank items.

Look at that gorgeous woodgrain!

Here’s the video showing how I created this Thanks a Latte card:

Now for my second card, I actually went more Christmas themed than Fall themed, by using red and white & including a sentiment from the Latte Art Cocoa Additions minis stamp set.  I just love that this set can be used for more than coffee!

To make this card, I used the same technique as shown in the video, except I used white embossing powder to emboss the image inside the coffee mug. I really wish I had some cream colored embossing powder because I feel like the white is too bright, but the cream pigment ink/clear embossing powder was too subtle.

Which coffee version do you like better?

On this card, I used the new Coconut Oil (white) colored Woodgrain Cardstock, which might be even more beautiful than the Walk the Plank.

I added some depth to around the coffee mug by using Copic R29 to do some shading.

To finish off the card I added an enamel dot from My Mind’s Eye and some polka dot ribbon from my stash. I also rounded the bottom corners with my Corner Chomper.

Like I said in the video, you have a couple more days to get in on Fall and Halloween Week! Make sure to share your creations with us, click here!

That’s all I have for you guys today. Have a great weekend!
