Introducing. . . Fancy Snowflakes

Hi everyone!Happy Tuesday! I actually had every intention of getting this post up on Monday, but I just didn’t have it ready in time. This weekend was jam packed with family time and LOTS of house updates. We worked ourselves until we were sore. I need this work week to recover 🙂

We got the scraproom updated AND we got an entire flower bed redone. We planted about 150 bulbs for the spring. It involved digging up the existing plants & digging the whole bed. It was hard work. Truth be told, hubby did most of it. I am so thankful that he put up with all my plans this weekend. He’s such a trooper.

Anyway, so my project for today introduces a brand new stamp set coming out on the 10th, called Fancy Snowflakes. This set contains 8 snowflakes in various sizes. I just love this set & it is perfect for the main image on a card or to make a background, like I did here.

For this card, I used Kraft cardstock as my card base. I rounded the bottom corners. Then I stamped my Fancy Snowflakes with various colors of Clearsnap Chalk ink.

I added a strip of our new Coconut Oil Woodgrain Card Stock. To that, I added a big bow using Turquoise Chevron ribbon, some Cappuccino colored twine from The Twinery, and a Original Snowflakes flair from the Miss Kate Cuttables collection.

TIP: To attach flair to your project, use a super strong adhesive like Glue Dots.

To finish off the card, I added some faux stitches using a white Gellyroll gel pen. I also like the Signo white gel pens, but I seem to have issues with them not working after a little bit of use. I haven’t had that problem with the Gellyrolls yet.

So that is all for today!! Tomorrow for Wild Wednesday, I am starting my mini series on all things scrapbook room & organization! I can’t wait to show you my scraproom progress. Have a wonderful day!

  • What’s your favorite white gel pen?
  • Do you have a dedicated scrapbook space or where do you do you crafting?
  • Is it turning cold in your neck of the woods yet?
