So again for Cupcakes and Candy week, I chose cupcake 😉
I went all out on this project and even made my project smell like Peppermint. Yes, really! I used the Peppermint Scented Scentz embossing powder and this stuff is really cool. I couldn’t believe how lovely it smelled and I can’t wait to dig into the rest of the scents.
Anyway, so I have a video showing you the process of making the cupcake scented. Enjoy!
Here’s how I finished the rest of the card:
I used an old embossing folder on some white cardstock. Then I inked over the surface of the cardstock with Lipstick Red chalk ink from Colorbox Clearsnap. I cut off about half an inch on the top, rounded the top right corner & attached it to a red standard card base. I rounded the top corner of the red card base too.
This cute sentiment is from the Ultimate Sentiments II stamp set from SP and Company. I stamped it in Dark Brown chalk ink.
I added the v-shape arrows from the Chevron & Elements mini stamp set & stamped them in Red Barn chalk ink for a tone on tone effect.
I used the following Copic colors on Squirrel & Chipmunk Digging In:
E33. E35. E37. E77. E79
R27, R29, R37, R39, R89
G00, G02, G05. G09
To finish off the card, I added some polka dot ribbon I have had in my stash forever. I popped up my stamped image on some dimensional adhesive and called it done.
I hope that you enjoyed today’s tutorial and project. Make sure to link up your Cupcakes & Candy projects for theme week! Catch ya later!
