From the North Pole Gift Tag

Hi everyone!

Today, I have a decorative tag to share with you. This tag is pretty simple to make, and with a little tweaking, this would be a great mass produce-able tag.

I cut this tag out with my Silhouette Cameo. I used their “Library Tag” that was included when I open the Silhouette shapes section. It had a thin outline tag cut so I had to ungroup the lines and get just the outside cut & the dot cut. I was able to cut out 8 of these tags with one sheet of paper.

To create this tag, I added some score lines & then masked that area off with a strip of computer paper. I didn’t want to stamp the snowflakes in that section where the sentiment is.  The snowflakes are from the Fancy Snowflakes stamp set. I used one color for each snowflake stamp used (2 total).

When I was done stamping the snowflakes, I removed my mask & stamped my sentiment in black ink.

Then I created a triple bow by just using three strands of Maraschino twine from The Twinery. I attached an Ocean Waves SP Button in the center of the bow with another piece of the twine.

To finish off the tag, I added some Enamel Dots from the Winter Wonderland collection from My Mind’s eye.

To easily make a bunch of these tags, you could omit the score lines & enamel dots & just have a strip of computer paper to use as the mask. Since I used a different snowflake stamp for each ink, you could go to town stamping multiple tags one by one without having to clean off any stamps.

I created this tag for the Dynamic Duos #77 Challenge.

So that’s all I have for you today. My crafty mojo is lacking this week it seems so I am going to be playing along with a lot of challenges 🙂 Challenges always help me out in low mojo times. What is your favorite crafty challenge?

  1. Really pretty tag. Usually I like snowflakes in white or silver, but your colorful ones against the white are terrific!
