So since this week is Handmade Gifts & Tags, I want to share my Christmas gift tradition with you. For the past 3-4 years, I have given many family members a D-ring 12×12 album. The first year they get the album with a couple of layouts. And then the following years they receive a couple more pages to just insert into their albums. I also did this with the little girl’s mom (the little girl who I was a nanny for). So my project today is one of the layouts that I will be sending to the little girl’s mom as her Christmas gift. I started her album last year. We’re also adding one family member to our scrapbook gifts list this year.
I love having this Christmas gift system with family & they seem to really enjoy receiving their pages each year. This year’s pages for the family are going to be about hubby graduating and our new house purchase 🙂 I actually plan on getting those photos printed out this week! Some years I am better about making the pages much ealier. This year, I totally slacked with the moving.
I plan on sending lots of baby/children layouts once we start growing our family. And then the family members will REALLY like receiving their pages each year lol!!
I feel like these gifts are more special than sending something that 1.) They might not need/want/use 2.) Something that will just waste space.
So here is the layout that is going to go to little girl’s mom:
I really wanted the photo to be the main feature so I matted it with some patterned paper and cardstock. All the papers used are from the Echo Park Tis the Season collection.
The title was made out of the alphabet stickers from the Tis the Season collection.
I will have a few other layouts to send along with this layout. Any of the scrapbook pages that I create about this little girl will end up being sent to her mommy actually! I just keep the photos for myself. I sure do miss this little one.
