You’re Invited: New DT, New Blog, New Weekly Theme!

Hi everyone!

If you are seeing this post, you have come to the right place!! I’ve decided to move the SP Blog over to WordPress so that we can have some amazing functionality. Right now, we are under MAJOR construction so please just bear with me if you find any links that aren’t working or if videos/shopping lists aren’t showing up. I don’t have a Sunday Scoop for you this week because of the blog move.

We are having a Thanksgiving & Halloween clearance sale in the SP Store so be sure to check it out! Click here for sale detailsClick just to start shopping.

Today, it is my great pleasure to introduce you to the brand new SP Design Team!! Y’all are going to LOVE the designs these ladies are going to make for you every week. It is about to get even more inspiring around here!! Today’s post is going to be super long so grab your fave beverage, sit back, and enjoy.

Before we introduce the new team & theme, we unfortunately have some goodbyes.

The lovely Marie is leaving us effective immediately. I am so sad to see Marie go because she is not only an AMAZING designer, she is an amazing person. I am glad to call her a friend & I will miss having her on the team. Thank you for all you’ve done for us, Marie!

We are also losing the amazing Melissa. Melissa has been an amazing friend & I have loved having her on my team. She will also be dearly missed. Thank you for being so great, Melissa!

And Pops has decided to step down from the team. Although Pops has only been with us a short time, she is going to be missed a bunch. Thank you for your time with us Pops!

So now it is time to introduce our new theme & new team & share the members who are joining us for another term! First up, the newbies 🙂

Our new theme this week is
Handmade Gifts & Tags!

Create a handmade gift or tag! We’re thinking Christmas gifts here, but it can be of any theme. Let’s meet the new team & check out what they created.

Meet Jennifer:
I am super excited about joining the SP Design Team! I live near Williamsburg, Virginia with my husband, Scott (a Canadian), our two young kids, Kaitlyn (age 6) and Jackson (age 2), and our dog, Toby. I have been crafty in one way or another all my life but my passion for card design really began about four years ago. My so-called addiction to stamps started when I joined the SP monthly kit club in January and I’ve been hooked ever since! I work at VIMS School of Marine Science at the College of William and Mary and primarily craft in the evenings after the kids have gone to bed or when my husband is off playing hockey. This is my very first design team appointment and I look forward to sharing my creative inspiration with you!
 About Jennifer’s project:
Aren’t these little gift boxes adorable? The perfect size to wrap a variety of small items as holiday presents for friends, co-workers, and teachers! Even better… they’re very easy to create with super cute style.

Meet Niki:
Hi Everyone! My name is Niki and I’m from Oregon where I live with my husband and our 4 kiddos. When the kids aren’t keeping me busy, I try to find a little extra time to stamp and create cards. I started stamping about 6 years ago. My favorite cards to create usually feature cute images because I love coloring. I’m really excited to get to work with all the cute stamps SP & Company offers.
About Niki’s Project:
Tags are the perfect way to dress up small little gifts during the holiday season. Cocoa and marshmallows are a great small gift to keep on hand this holiday season when you need something quick and easy to hand out.

Hi I am Jennifer.I live in the land down under, Australia. I have been Stamping for about 4 years and I am addicted. I looooove Stamps and I am also a sucker for dies and paper too! I usually use Copics but am dabbling in Distress Markers as well! I have a 20 year old son at Uni studying IT. Very handy! A 20 year old daughter in the work force and a 15 year old daughter still studying. Our other family members are Benny the rabbit that loves to sit with me every night while I make cards and Jetta and Myff our Cavoodle and Spoodle. I also have a husband educated in tracking down stamp and paper shops wherever we go! I work part time as a Shop Assistant. I have crafted my whole life. I have done hand knitting, embroidery and machine knitting, which has given me great design and colour skills.
About Jenny’s Project:
Big Tag Little Tags. Tags are great for adding to your Xmas gifts big or small. They can be quick and simple or you can add just a little bit more. Great to start now and have them ready and waiting for you to buy and wrap your gifts!

Hi, I’m Lisa and I live in mid-Missouri with my husband and two daughters. I love animals, especially dogs. My yellow Lab is my “baby” and we foster dogs and other animals for our local shelter. My favorite thing about card making is coloring, which is why I love SP and Co stamps. They are so much fun to color! My Copics are my medium of choice, but I also love Prismacolor pencils with OMS.

My name is Amber Kroening. I’m a 36 year old Marine Corps wife, and work at home mom to 3 cutie pies. My husband and I have been married for 13 years. He retired in September 2012 after serving for 20 years. I’ve been stamping since February ’08. I would describe my style as fresh, clean, happy, and simple. I also enjoy making hairbows, scrapbooking, making jewelry, and photography. As you can see, I love to be creative! My other passion is dogs. I have three of my own plus I volunteer with a local rescue, and we almost always have a foster dog staying with us. My daughter and I help out at adoption events every Saturday. I also help the rescue with web graphics and by taking pictures of the adoptable dogs. I love every minute of it! *Spay, Neuter, Volunteer, Foster, Donate, Adopt!*
