Sunday Scoop & Weekly Inspiration

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!

Like my silly photo? He he, it cracked me up ๐Ÿ™‚

I FINALLY made a Sunday Scoop video for you & this one really fills you in on pretty much everything going on in my life lately. You might be shocked. Then again, you might have seen all of this coming even before I did. Please make sure to watch it because it is really informative (and kind of long, I may ramble a bit, but there are plenty of good bits in there too!!). I fill you in on the future of SP & it’s pretty radical!

Now I know you guys are going to be scared that I am closing up shop and running away forever, but that is definitely not happening any time in the foreseeable future!! I’m just switching from a boring, business mindset to a fun, crafty mindset! This year, when I shifted the business stuff into high gear, I learned A LOT about myself & I am really proud of myself actually! Sales have more than tripled from the previous year, BUT, and it is a BIG BUT, I was way less fulfilled by everything SP this year.ย  It’s just not giving me those happy rainbows & sprinkles type of feelings and I want those feelings back, pronto!!

I feel incredibly blessed to not need the income from SP so I have the luxury of being able to scale back like I talked about in the video. I didn’t take these decisions lightly. Actually the opposite. I have AGONIZED over these decisions. Part of me wants to continue making SP super successful and growing it even bigger. Part of me wants to be a “business owner”. But the other more important part of me wants to just love crafting & continue to share that love. I’m definitely shifting gears to make SP more about my creative journey and less about selling products. With this new mindset, I see way more classes, digital products, crafty projects, tutorials, and videos in my future and just way less product releases. I’m getting back to my roots.

Just sharing this all with you gives me some of those happy feelings back! I’ll be posting here and there through December, but I am not holding myself to anything for now. I am just going to try to go with the flow & try to enjoy some much needed “time off” so I can get that mojo flowing again. In all seriousness, I am not overly sad or depressed or anything. I am just on top of the world excited for this next stage in our lives. And I am a little relieved to take some of the pressure off myself. Anyway, feel free to ask me questions & I will do my best to answer them! If you want to know what happens at the doctor this week, let me know & I will be sure to post an update when I get back home.

Thanks for watching this life update & thanks for understanding my need to shift gears. It means the world to me that you are here. OK enough of the life & businessy stuff, let’s move on to some CRAFTING! The DT has a lot of greatness for you this week!!!

It is RELEASE WEEK!! This is our LAST release of 2013! Can you believe we are at the end of the year already?! I am still just totally shocked. This year really flew by. Since it is release week, the design team is showing off projects that they made with new products that will be released on the 10th. These products will be available on the 10th at midnight. Due to all the holiday fun-ness, I’ve decided NOT to have our release party on the 9th. It is just going to be a quick and easy stamp release at midnight. And because it is release week, that means ANYTHING GOES for our linky party! Woop woop!!

  1. Hey Sami…. I am praying for you girl… I know you will be the best mom ever, didn’t you hear Bob telling you that during the video… LOL He was a little chatty that day. But with proper precautions and your strong will I believe everything will work out for the best. Oh by the way check around the sofa and in between the cushions that’s usually where I find my MoJo hiding… Once you find her lock her in the craft room.
    Happy Holidays

    1. Thank you so much! You are too kind. The mojo part made me lol!! Big hugs to you & have a happy holiday & Merry Christmas!

  2. Always choose the fun and creative option whenever you have the luxury of it!!! You are not closing any doors that will make changing direction impossible again at a later date, if you so decide.

Wishing you well on beginning your family. Motherhood is the most creative thing a woman can do! Continue to de-stress and take good care of yourself. Don’t forget to be happy. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Sami, I know it’s tough coming out with this update but you have to do what you have to do. SP is a great company and it will take care of itself because you have many wonderful and supportive followers. I wish you the best in 2014 — and good luck with starting a family. It’s the best job in the world being a Mom. You’d make a great Mom! I’ll keep all fingers crossed for you guys!

    1. Thanks so much, Sonya!! You made my day!! We’re having photos made today & now I feel like a million bucks ๐Ÿ™‚
I have been trying really hard (eating more naturally & exercising, just doing it the old fashioned way lol)! I’m down about 27lbs since we moved to IL in July ( that’s 37lbs from my heaviest of all). There’s still a good 15 or so lbs to lose, but I will get there.
      Big Hugs,

  4. I understand that you were concerned about telling everyone this new. I’m newer to your YouTube channel and your blog. As for the Mojo, be kind to yourself – you have a lot on your mind and heart! Maybe try CASE’ing something, doing a couple challenges, to get the mojo flowing again.

As far as the personal news, HOW EXCITING that you’ll be trying to get pregnant! I’m the mom of 3 grown daughters. My two older girls are married and one has 4 children (3 girls and a boy, all 5 and under) and the other has 2 little girls, 2 and under. We’re having a BALL!! My youngest daughter is still looking for Mr Right and she’s older than you. I will pray that your medical issues won’t affect your pregnancy much, and that you’ll have a sweet little someone to hold in your arms before 2014 is over!! HUGS!

  5. I think it’s just that time of year. I need to make 150 Christmas cards and have barely 20 done. I’m feeling the same thing, no mojo. But mine comes and goes. Life gets busy, and I don’t get too upset about it, because it always cow back. Hang in there! Have a great holiday!

    1. Good luck, S! That’s a lot!! We had photo cards made this year, but I think I will be back making them again next year. Family members were just asking for new house photos so I thought it would be perfect to do photo cards for a change.
