Last week was my mom’s birthday so I made her a very special birthday card. There was this adorable cake SVG file from Miss Kate Cuttables that I just had to use on her card.
Because I am starting a Cameo mini series in March for our next Wild Wednesday series, I am holding off on doing the Cameo portion of the card. In a future Wild Wednesday, I will share with you exactly how I took this image from SVG to an actual cut out (and even share some tips along the way!). That means today, I am sharing everything but the actual cutting out process with you.
The way I filmed the whole process was a little funky so my intro turned out super awkward. . . just ignore that! LOL.
I absolutely love Miss Kate Cuttables SVGs because they end up having so much dimension with all those awesome layers. Just look how awesome that cake looks!
Here’s the Birthday Cake SVG from Miss Kate. As you can see, I simplified some of the layering on my version.
The finished card measures 5.5inches square.
The Bird-Day mini stamp set that I used on this card is actually being discontinued & actually just SOLD OUT. I mean it just sold out as I started to edit this video. It’s kind of funny because I almost grabbed for a different birthday set when making the card so I am going to put that stamp set in the supplies list as a substitute.
I hope you enjoyed it! I’m going to try to squeeze in a card or a Copic tutorial on my MarkerPop off weeks (between my bi-weekly Learning Copics with MarkerPOP video series). Would you rather see more start to finish cards or Copic tutorials (or something else?)? Let me know in the comments section below so I can make sure to include more of the stuff y’all like seeing 🙂
Have a lovely day & I will see you back here tomorrow for our last segment in the My Planner Wild Wednesday series!
