Piggy Play Layout

Hey everyone! Happy Saturday!

I hope you are having a fabulous weekend! Can you believe it is March already? I sure can & I am totally ready for that spring weather to come back lol.  I’m getting ready for my big travel day tomorrow so I’ve already got some blog posts schedule for you over the next few days 🙂

Today, I have a layout to share with you. I made this layout of Emma chewing on her recent favorite doggy toy, a pig! This toy is so cute that I decided the title & had a little piggy to go along with the layout.

I got my layout inspiration from a gorgeous layout I ran across on pinterest made by Alicia G. It had two photos & tons of embellishment layering & I just thought it was absolutely gorgeous. As you can see, my layout turned out nothing like the inspiration, but that just goes to show, you can get inspired by anything & make it totally your own.

All of my patterned papers came from Studio Calico. The pink polka dot cardstock & the bright pink cardstock both came from my stash. I think the dot cardstock is from Bo Bunny & the other is from Stampin’ UP.

The woodgrain cardstock & the heart flair were both from the Studio Calico Copper Mountain Scrabpook kit, which was the January Kit. The other patterned papers were from the Sugar Rush scrapbook kit, which was the February kit.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the piggy & the hearts. They both came from the same SVG set from Miss Kate Cuttables & I linked to it in the supplies list below.

The title was a combo of two different alphas. The Piggy letters were from the Sugar Rush kit & they are alphas from October Afternoon. And the Play letters were made with the Pink Paislee Color Wash alphas that were part of the December Gossamer Blue kit.

The enamel dots were part of the Sugar rush kit also.

The label, scallop border, and banner shapes were all from a Crate Paper Flea Market sticker pack.

TIP: If you love a patterned paper, use EVERY scrap! Notice that upside down triangle piece of heart patterned paper? That is a piece I saved from a banner shape I had used on a different layout! I saved every bit of that heart patterned paper because I LOVE that paper lol.
