I actually won’t have a week of Project Life for y’all this week! I’m taking a week “off” because I just ordered my new photo printer & I’m saving up my photo printing so that I have lots to play with once the new printer arrives. I’m planning on having two weekly spreads next week, but it just really depends on when the printer actually arrives here. I will tell you ALLLL about it once it gets here & I’m able to learn all about it 🙂
Let’s talk about today’s product review/tutorial!
I’ve been itching to try writing on photos and writing on washi tape so I had to search around to figure out what pens/markers would do the job. When I was doing my “research”, I saw American Crafts Slick Writers mentioned in multiple places so I picked up a pack!
The Slick Writers are AWESOME! They easily write on photos & washi tape and they are dry as soon as you write. The work great, and they don’t have a strong odor!! I’m very sensitive to stinky stuff because of my migraine issues so the lack of odor is a huge plus!
With the slick writers, it is easy to write on the photos and the washi. They wrote really smoothly & I didn’t have any dragging while writing.
Mine came in a pack of 3 black Slick Writers for $5.99 at a local craft store (then I used a 40% off coupon!). I’ve seen them on Amazon for almost double that price! If I can find them online for a reasonable price, I will link to them at the bottom of this post. The black 3-pack comes with Fine (F), Medium (M), and Bold/Broad (B) tips. There are also bunches of other colored packs available. My personal fave right now is the Medium tip.
And the packaging says: “Ink is acid free, waterproof, non-toxic photo safe and permanent”.
Here’s a look at some of my testing. I absolutely love how these pens work!!
Being able to write on washi tape & photos (or any other slick surface for that matter) opens up a lot more crafty possibilities for Project Life & Scrapbooking! This was a very exciting discovery for me so I just wanted to share it just in case you’d never heard of these 🙂
