I recently showed you a bunch of supplies that I got from MarkerPOP and today I have a card to share using some of those new goodies. I just dug into them this weekend & had lots of fun. Now let me tell you. . . this card was completely and utterly made JUST FOR FUN! Oh my word, it felt wonderful to just not have a care in the world for a few minutes and put a card together! I am definitely going to be crafting just for the fun of it a lot more often as soon as the final store orders have been sent out.
I hope you enjoy this card! I had a lot of fun making it. I tested out the new Wink of Stella Pen that I recently got. I will have an in depth review of it next week for ya!
With this project, I also got a chance to test out my camera in a night time setting. I don’t have lights setup for taking photos of projects so I rely on daylight in order to take project photos. Well I finished the card at night so I tried to take the photos at night too without any studio lighting. I think the photos came out decent enough that you can see my card.
I based my card design of off the Farm Fresh Friday sketch over on The Greeting Farm’s blog. I knew I wanted to color up this Anya so I decided to check and see if they had a fun challenge & sure enough, they did!
The patterned papers I used are from the Crate Paper Love Notes paper pad. The stamped sentiment is an old SP & Company sentiment.
The Anya stamp I used is Birthday Anya 3. I colored her in with Copics & then used the Clear Wink of Stella pen to add some glitter to lots of areas of the image. I then inked around the edges of the white cardstock piece with Bermuda Bay ink from Stampin’ UP & a sponge dauber.
The Copic Colors I used are as follows:
- For the skin: E00, E21, E02
- For the teals: BG53, BG57
- For the icing: RV25, RV29
- For the cake parts: E30, E31
- For the cherries: R29
- For the cake plate: C00, C0,
- For the hair: E25, E27, E29, E49
My card measures 4.25×5.5inches & I used a piece of Papertrey Ink white cardstock as the card base.
The ribbon is just some old Stampin’ UP ribbon I’ve had in my stash for a really long time.
