Frozen Family Scrapbook Layout

Hey everyone!

Today I’ve got a traditional scrapbook layout to share with you. I was actually inspired to make this layout with this larger photo that was actually my planner cover for 2014. This was just a cheapy planner with a family photo on the front that I got from Walgreens (which I talked about at the end of THIS video) . My new planner (which I talked all about in THIS video) came in recently & started in December so I’m officially done with the old planner. I took it apart, recycled the papers, and then kept the cover just for this! Thrifty huh?

Anyway, don’t forget that I have a planner pouch giveaway going on RIGHT NOW! Click here to enter!!

The patterned paper I used is from the Oh Deer 6×6 paper pad from Fancy Pants.

I created the glittery snowflakes with some raw chipboard. I first painted them with white acrylic paint. Then I painted them with some white glitter paint called Gelate from Art Anthology. Since the glitter was very subtle, I decided to coat them in translucent fine glitter while they were still wet so some of it would stick.

The embellishments came from misc Freckled Fawn OHDEERME kits & the pink rhinestones came from a past Studio Calico kit. The alphas were Thickers from American Crafts (the glitter ones) and Freckled Fawn foam alphas (the black ones).

And some close ups:

I didn’t really have a layout design in mind when I wanted to scrap. I decided to use this sketch from Creative Scrappers.

Besides the drying time for the painting, this layout came together pretty quickly. I really liked the sketch & it worked really well with the patterned papers I wanted to use. That is it for today. I will be back with my regularly scheduled blog post on Wednesday! Have a lovely day!!

  1. I pretty much make my own planner from a memo book, cover it to my liking, and make tabs for month’s. no calendar but lots of notes & cut outs of ideas etc from magazines…
trying to get the nerve to try a “real” planner, so we’ll see
