She’s Trouble Layout & SPCC#56

Hello everyone!! Happy Monday!  Remember that tonight is Live Chat over at the SP Chat Room (you can get to it at the bottom of the SP Forum!). Be there or be square!! Chat starts at 9PM EST. Last week there were 27 members online!! We had a blast!

OK Time for truth, I have been majorly slacking with my SPCC entries and so this week, I am playing along. Head on over to SPCC to see the new Color Combos design team divas. They really rocked this color combo this week! You can play along over there, or enter below. Next Monday, I will be giving away a sweet prize to one lovely participant.

Use this color combo for your project -be it a card, scrapbook LO, 3D or altered item. You do NOT have to use Stampin’ UP brand colors or products, but you do have to use colors close to these colors.

Here is what I made:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

  • No, that is not designer patterned paper on my page, that Very Vanilla cardstock was stamped by hand!! I used the adorable Fox and Friends stamp set with Bashful Blue Classic Ink, Early Espresso Classic Ink, and Tangerine Tango Classic Ink. I just rotated the stamps to give it a cute little pattern.
  • I distressed the edges of the Very Vanilla cardstock with Early Espresso Classic Ink on a Sponge Dauber.
  • Then I stamped a border of animals across the bottom of the Bashful Blue textured cardstock. I happen to really like the way it looks when you stamp on textured cardstock. It gives a nice worn feel to the project.
  • The Tangerine Tango ribbon (retired) is part of the SP July Ribbon Kit.
  • The alphas are Felt Thickers.

Here are some close-ups!

You can enter by adding your link below. If you don’t have a blog, you can upload your project to the SP Gallery in the SPCC #56 section Improper links will be removed. Entries are due by Sunday at 3PM EST.

SPCC #56

Hey everyone! Happy Monday!!

Please note that the due date for entries has been changed to Sundays! Projects will now be due on Sunday at 6PM EST. That way, we can get winners posted before the new challenge gets posted. It will just make it easier for those of us behind the scenes, so I hope it doesn’t cause any timing issues for ya! Most of y’all have been turning your projects in before then anyway.

I have a couple of announcements for you today!! For July, I am offering two product shares. The first is a Satin Ribbon Share, and it can be found here. The satin ribbon share includes 13 different colors of delicious Satin Ribbon.  The second is a Designer Series Paper Share, and it can be found here. It includes one 6X6 sheet of EVERY new designer paper in the new Idea Book and Catalog!!

Here is SP Color Combo #56:

Use this color combo for your project -be it a card, scrapbook LO, 3D or altered item. You do NOT have to use Stampin’ UP brand colors or products, but you do have to use colors close to these colors.

Entries are due on Sunday, July 18th at 3PM EST. Next Monday, we will showcase the winner and the SP Top Five.

This week’s prize is brought to you by ME, Samantha Strachan, independent Stampin’ UP Demonstrator! I will be donating prizes every week and they will be Stampin’ UP products!! I love Stampin’ UP and want to help spread the joy to you!

I would like to thank all my Stampin’ UP customers because they are the reason I can donate prizes. If you need a Stampin’ UP demonstrator, please consider me! I would love to be your demonstrator!

This week, I am giving away a brand new River Rock Classic Stampin’ Pad!!

This week, some of the brand new SP Divas are making their debut!! You can read their bios by clicking here!

To enter this week’s challenge:

add a DIRECT link to your blog post below in the inlinkz widget! Please provide the DIRECT link to your project entry! I am going to provide some directions for posting a direct link because not everyone knows how. I have had to correct many links and I hope this will help.

To get your direct link, on your blog click on the title of your blog post about this weeks SPCC and copy the URL from the text box at the top of your browser. It should be your blog address followed by a bunch of extra information. To copy the URL, highlight the long address and press Control (CTRL) + C on your keyboard. Then on the SPCC blog, go to Mr. Linky and type your name. Put your cursor where it says URL and then hit CTRL + V. Now you should have the direct link. Then submit it!
