Sledding Penguins Airbrush Card

Hi everyone!I’ve got another Christmas card to share for Christmas Cards Week. I will have one more to share with you tomorrow too šŸ™‚ Let’s get started!

IMG_1030

For today’s Christmas card, I pulled out my Copic airbrush and created some snow. Now that I have a room with lots of electrical outlets, I can leave my airbrush system out.

The precious image I used is the Penguins Sledding stamp. This stamp is from the Gill Roberts collection. I thought these little guys were just the cutest little things.

The patterned papers I used were from the Tis the Season collection from Echo Park, which was part of the September SP Monthly Kit. I rounded the corners on the bottom with my Corner Chomper.

I used a sentiment from the Oh Christmas Tree stamp set that was also included in the September SP Monthly Kit.

To finish off the card, I added some Blue Lagoon buttons.

And that’s it! I really like the layout of this card. What do ya think?

  • Have you linked up yet for Christmas Cards week? There’s still time šŸ™‚
  • How many holiday cards do you usually make each year?
  • What is your favorite beverage?

Snow Bunny Card

Hi everyone!Well, we had amazing release party over on the SP Facebook page & I thank you for joining it. I am leaving the party open until Saturday night at midnight EST. Please be sure to stop by and leave some comments for the giveaways going on over there. You will have to scroll down the page to see all the release party posts.

Also, don’t forget about Anything Goes week! Link-up & giveaway both end tomorrow.

Today I have a card I created using the adorable new Snow Bunny Post stamp from the Gill Roberts Collection. I used a fun little airbrushing masking technique to make this one & I just love how the little wintery scene turned out. I hope you enjoy it šŸ™‚

To create this card, I used the negatives of the snow mounds that I had cut out to originally use with the Santa I created for THIS card. Well the snow mounds ended up too small to go with that Santa. So then I made THIS card using the snow mounds. And then I was left with these negative pieces that I had grand plans for.Ā  I used them to airbrush the snow mounds on my project today. The fun thing is that I can use them again and again!

For the airbrushing, I used copics: B41 and B45 for the snow mounds. For the sky, I used C0, C3, and B45. Generally you airbrush with the broad tip of your marker. Well to do the speckles using the B45 in the sky, I used the super brush tip. The super brush tip generally makes speckles/splashes of color. I thought it created a snowy effect on my background.

To color in the super cute Snow Bunny, I used the following Copics:

  • For the fur: C0, C1, C3
  • For the bag: E44, E47
  • For the envelopes & clothing: E41, E42, E43
  • For the scarf: B26, B28, B29
  • For the striped present: B41, B45

To finish off the card, I trimmed out the bunny & attached him on my airbrushed layer. I matted this piece on some bright blue cardstock. Then I centered this onto a kraft colored card base.

The sentiment is included with the Snow Bunny stamp. I stamped it in Clearsnap “Ocean” Chalk ink.

Here’s another look:

I stamped that sentiment crooked. WHOOPS! lol

And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed this card. I will have a few projects to share with you for Saturday Scraps tomorrow. Have a great start to your weekend and see you soon!
