For our blog hop today, we are sharing our projects to go along with our first MarkerPop Challenge theme: Fur/Hair coloring. Here’s my project:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I had to much fun making this project! Do you like my rainbow background? It is actually airbrushed with the Copic Airbrush System 3 + Air Compressor!! I used some die cut clouds (cut from the Cricut Sesame Street Seasons cartridge) to mask off some of the white of the card so that I would be left with some white clouds after I airbrushed. I used the following Copic colors for the airbrushing: R27, YR14, Y15, YG25, B24, V25, RV06.

Here’s a video showing my rainbow airbrush background technique:

My main image comes from Gorjuss and she is in a stamp set called “Flying Above it All”.  I colored & then trimmed it out with my craft knife. I used the following Copics: E0000, E000, E00, E01, YR01, YR12, YR14, C6, C7, C9, C10, C00, BG90, BG93, BG96, BG99.

The beautiful sentiment is from the SP and Company Sympathy & Care stamp set, available now at MarkerPop.com.

To finish off the card, I just rounded the bottom corners.

I hope that I’ve inspired you to join in on the hop. Be sure to head back to the MarkerPop Blog when you are done hopping so you can play along with our challenge this week! Click on the next name on our blog hop list below:

Bright Airbrush Fairy Card

Hi again!! This is my second post for today. Be sure to check out my other two posts for today, which both feature new stampy stamps from The Greeting Farm!!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Click here to see my first project of the day!

Let’s get started. I decided for this one, to keep the coloring a little on the simpler side because I wanted all the pretty colors to shine through.

In my last project, I cut out the Shimmer Bean but this time, I wanted you to get to see all the pretty accents that are on this stamp. I love that the stamp comes with cute images around the bean and even a great inspirational sentiment.

Here is the full card:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
  • This is the totally cute Shimmer Bean. I colored the image and then trimmed it into a rectangular shape. Next, I pulled out the Copic Airbrush System and went to down adding beautiful pops of color all around her. Believe me, my photo does NOT do this card justice.
  • I drew my color palette from the butterfly paper, which is from Vanity Fair 6×6 Paper Pad.
  • I added some green satin ribbon from Stampin’ UP (I think it is Certainly Celery) and a little scallop on the side of the image.
  • The scallop layer is also My Mind’s Eye patterned paper.
  • The card base and mat layer are Early Espresso cardstock from Stampin’ UP.

I will be back in a few to get my third and final project posted for today 🙂

Cobblestone You’re Sweet Card

Hi everyone!! Yesterday, I celebrated my one year wedding anniversary! The hubby and I went out to our favorite restaurant and then just spent the rest of the day together (after he got out from his classes). It is hard to believe it has already been a year of marriage. It seems like the time flew by in a blink of an eye.

While he was at school, you will be happy to know that I made three different video tutorials! I just have to get them all edited for next week 🙂

Today, I have a project I made a few months ago. I actually drew the cute little cobblestone path and colored the whole card using Copics.

Copics used:

Grass:YG11, YG13, YG23, YG25
Dog fur:E43, E44, E47, E49
Cobblestone (Hand drawn): W1, W3, W5, W7
Clothing: RV21, RV23, RV25, RV29, C5, BG45, BG49
Bike: C5, C7, R22, R29
Girl: E00, E23, E25, E29,
Sky (Airbrushed): B000, B01, B02

I also added accents with Spica glitter pens (Pitch Black and Lipstick) and a Signo white gel pen.

This main image is from Unity, in their Brandy & Emma collection. I just fell in love with the image and so I had to have it!

The sentiment is from the Ultimate Sentiments II stamp set by SP and Company. Such a cute little sentiment!!

It’s Vicki’s day over at the SP Stamps Blog, and she is showing a cool new technique so make sure to go see it!
