Start to Finish Card: 1 Layout, 2 Occasions

Hey everyone! Happy Monday to ya!

The past couple weeks I’ve really tried to get into the craft room most days. With a newborn, I feel like I really need that creative “me time”. But then a lot of the time I feel like just vegging out on the couch & not doing much of anything once the housework is all done! LOL I’m trying to make it a priority because it makes me happy!

Anyhoo, so really quick before Mother’s Day, hubby asked if I had any Mother’s Day cards made & I didn’t so he gave me a great excuse to get crafting! He was happy to play with Olivia while I had some fun. This card was the result.

Well since it was passed Mother’s Day, I felt like it was kinda lame to show you guys just a Mother’s Day card. So instead, I turned this Mother’s Day card, into a Congratulations card! In this video, I walk you through step by step how I made this card & offer some tips on the Big Shot + some tips on even more options with this card layout I am using. Enjoy!

Here are some closeups of my congrats card.

And that is it! I really love when I find a simple card layout that is super versatile like this one! I actually used a very similar layout on another card I made recently which I will try to share with you soon.

Have a lovely day!

Unfortunately, the labels dies I mentioned in the video seem to already be sold out. Sorry about that!

Oh, Baby Card + Free w/50 Special

Hey everyone!

It’s August so I am back in action here on the blog. I am still working on getting us settled into our new house, but I am officially back to work around here. I will be working to get the blog updated daily again(no promises for now though!).

Also the store is back up and running and I am shipping every weekday again. Please expect a 2-3 business day delay on all orders for the time being. Once I am caught up with everything, I will hopefully be back to my normal 1 business day shipping.

I am still behind on getting back to some emails and STILL behind on sending out prizes. I am sorry folks!! I will get caught up with everything as quickly as possible.

OK now that all the important stuff is out of the way, I have a major announcement & a project for you today!!

Watch this little video to hear all about our new Free with 50 Special!

I want to reward y’all for being such wonderful readers, supporters, and customers so this promotion is just for YOU!  The Free With 50 will change every other week so be sure to check back and see what’s coming next. Just in case, the Free With 50 will be listed in the store in its own special category.

And now, it is project time!

This is the FIRST project that I made in our brand new house 🙂  I actually had a bunch of images colored because of making all of the store swatches so I just grabbed one & went to town.

This beautiful image is from the Gill Roberts collection called Baby Love.  Sorry for the mediocre project photo. I still need to get my photo area figured out.

I used some patterned paper from the new Paper & Glue collection from Echo Park that was included in the SP Monthly Kit for July. I have been dieing to dig into this collection!!! EEK! I am so happy to be back to crafting.

I decorated the card with some rhinestones from Prima and some Celery Chevron Twill Ribbon.

The “Oh, Baby” was made with Thickers from my stash.

And that was it. It is a pretty simple card, but it makes that gorgeous image and title really stand out. So that’s all I have for you today. I will be back with more tomorrow. Have a great day!!

Hello, World! Baby Announcements Set #3

Hi everyone!! I have another set of baby announcements to share today!

For this set of baby announcements, I really went all out and fancied up the one layer cards.

For both of the cards I used the Hello, World! Baby Announcement Builder stamp set.

Card 1
The banner was colored in with Copic B32.
I put the sentiment down lower on the front of the card so I could make a big blue bow at the top. This bow was made with Bashful Blue satin ribbon from Stampin’ UP.
I used the sentiment “Hello, Grandma”, but you could easily stamp TWO banners and put the & stamp between the two & then put “Grandma & Grandpa”.
On the inside I used the sentiment “Announcing the arrival of our beautiful bundle of joy” so this card could be sent out announcing an adoption or a birth.

Card 2
This card is was made using the namesake of the stamp set. “Hello, World!”. What I like about this sentiment is that you can make ALL of the baby announcements all the same, in case you have a HUGE family & friends list & don’t want to spend time customizing cards for each family member. It would be super easy to mass produce a one layer card (without the fancy bows!) using just the Hello, World sentiment on the front.
This banner was colored in with Copic R83 and R85.
The bow was made out of Pink Chevron Twill ribbon, a misc pink button, and some Strawberry twine from The Twinery.
The inside of this card says, “Announcing the birth of our beautiful Bundles of joy” so it would be great to send to announce multiples -twins, triplets, etc.
