Welcome Winter Hedgie Card

Hi everyone!

I have another release card to share with you today! Make sure to check out our new release, enter our giveaway, & share your Anything Goes projects with us this week! Isn’t release week fun!?

So for this project, I used the Sledding Hedgie image from the Tina Wenke collection. I thought this little guy was perfect to fit inside the large die from the Happy Moments Polaroid die tools set.

The sentiments are both from the Penguin Skating stamp set. I stamped the Brrr! in green ink and then cut it out with the coordinating die tool from the Stitched Journaling Card & Arrows die tools set.

The patterned papers I chose are from the Reflections Christmas paper pad from Echo Park. This paper was part of our November SP Monthly kit, & some is still available in the SP Store. The kit club has been discontinued.

I used the following Copic colors:

  • For the hedgie & scarf: E42, E43, E44, E47, E49
  • For the white part of the hat: C00, C0, C1,
  • For the inner tube: C5, C6, C7, C9, C10
  • For the clothing: G94, G99

I added some enamel dots from My Mind’s Eye Winter Wonderland collection that I had in my stash. I don’t think I have any dots left in the store.

The finished card measures 5.5inches square.

Pearly Tree Card

Hi everyone!I’ve got another cute Christmas card to share with you today. I must confess. . .

I used the same sketch to create this card that I used on my Reindeer card yesterday! Now, would you have noticed if I hadn’t mentioned it? (I think probably yes lol).

For this card, I stuck completely with the September SP Monthly kit. I used Tis the Season papers & the Oh Christmas Tree stamp set, both were included in the kit.

I stamped the solid tree with the lines because I knew I wanted to decorate the tree. I used adhesive pearls (the kind that are connected together on a “string” of adhesive). They were all white, but I colored every other line with Copic R29 to turn them red. One of the cool things about Copics is you can color your own embellishments like this!

I used a scrap of Coconut Oil Woodgrain Card Stock and ran it through the Big Shot with one of my dies I got from Spellbinders. I am not sure what set this came from, but I thought it looked a little bit snowflakey.

I attached the red cardstock with the sentiment. The sentiment is also from the Oh Christmas Tree stamp set. I then added a Hula Skirt button to the little border strip for some extra interest.

Here’s another look:

So tomorrow I am taking a break from Christmas cards to share another part of my Organize your Scrap Space mini series 🙂

See you soon!
