Steely Blue Birthday Card

Hey everyone!

Today, I’ve got another prescheduled post for ya. I’m sharing a pretty simple card. I picked a different type of color combo for this one and I really like how the colors came out.

As you well know, I am obsessed with this stamp and die combo lately! I’ve used them on quite a few cards already, but I had to use it again for this birthday card.

All the stamps I used are from the Crazy About You stamp set. The sentiment “birthday” was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I stamped the flower in Smoky Slate ink.

The “happy” die I used on the Whisper White cardstock came from the coordinating die set called Hello You. You can purchase the stamp and die sets together in a bundle and save 15%.

The card base is just a standard size card base made out of Tempting Turquoise cardstock. The gray striped patterned paper on the bottom of the paper is from an older Echo Park Dots & Stripes paper pad. Ive been using these simple patterns on everything lately! They just add such a great touch. I love using basic patterns like stripes, chevrons, and dots on my cards.

The pretty little bow was added using some old retired Stampin’ UP ribbon. I think this is Taffeta.

To finish off the card, I added a tiny enamel dot that was from a past Studio Calico kit.

And that was it! This card came together so quickly because it was very simple. This could definitely be easily mass produced.

To go along with this card, I again made a SP Everyday Color Combo for your inspiration. Feel free to use this on your project & share the swatch.

Bold Thank You Card

Hey everyone! Happy Monday!!

Hope you are having a fantastic day! Today’s my official due date for baby girl so I thought I would get a project scheduled here just in case. For the latest baby updates, please follow me on Instagram @thescrapmaster. That’s where I plan on announcing anything first.

This is just a simple, bold thank you card I whipped up recently.

I saw a similar design in an older edition of the Stampin’ Success magazine, which is a special magazine just for demonstrators. I was totally inspired by the other card so I decided to make my own version.

The “thank you” stamp is from the Another Thank You stamp set. I wanted this stamp set specifically for this large thank you, but it is actually rather difficult to use such a large stamp! I actually messed up my first piece of cardstock trying to stamp this one. The second try was much better. I just needed to apply more even pressure over the stamp.

I stamped the sentiment in Strawberry Slush ink onto some Papertrey Ink white cardstock, which left the ink showing up really dark for some reason. I don’t remember this ink being quite so dark on the Stampin’ UP Whisper White cardstock so I will try that next time.

The polka dot patterned paper is from an older Echo Park Dots & Stripes 6×6 paper pad. They’ve got a new D&S collection that was recently released or will be released shortly (I forgot!).

I picked out a matching twine from my stash to make the cute little bow. This is Strawberry twine from The Twinery.

And the last thing I did was round the bottom corners with my Corner Chomper.

I recently had a friend over and we made a bunch of these thank you cards. We just mass produced them so we would have plenty of thank you cards for after our babies arrive (she’s pregnant too!). We used different patterned papers on these, but the same over all design. It was a great way to use up some scraps also!

That’s it for today. Have a wonderful & crafty day!

Hello, Love Valentine Card

Hey everyone!

I know this is absolutely crazy, but I am on a major crafty roll! I’ve got to take advantage of this mojo while it’s still hopping. I’ve got another card to share with you today.

HelloLove_Jan2015

Again I used the coordinating stamp and die set from Stampin’ UP. I am totally digging this mix and match set. The stamp & die sets can be purchased in a bundle for a 15% savings, or purchased individually for regular cost. The stamp set is named Crazy About You. The die set is named Hello You.

I have wanted a cute scripty die set since I first laid eyes on a set. A lot of companies offer some sort of scripty word dies. I love ’em! I am super happy to finally have the set along with a set of coordinating stamps. It offers so many possibilities!

I used the “Hello” die with some Pink Pirouette cardstock & then I stamped the word “Love” in Coastal Cabana on a scrap Pool Party cardstock.

This time I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday.

I’m not sure where my ticket corner punch went so I decided to just use rounded corners for the top of my card. I rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper.

The patterned paper at the top of the card is from the Crate Paper Fourteen paper pad.

The heart pattern was made with some Tempting Turquoise cardstock and the new Happy Heart embossing folder, both from Stampin’ UP. I’m such a sucker for anything with hearts on it!

To finish off the card, I used some older Pretty in Pink ribbon that has long retired from Stampin’ UP.

The card base is standard size and is made out of Pink Pirouette cardstock.

To go along with my card today, I’ve got another SP Everyday Color Combo for ya! Pin, Use, & Share this color combo as much as you want. Hope you find it helpful!
