Thanks So Much Card

Hey everyone!

Happy Tuesday!! Today I have a quick card to share with ya today. This is just a quick thank you card that I made last night. I made this one super easy so it could easily be mass produced. I’ve got a friend coming over later in the week & we are going to whip up a bunch of thank you cards together. I want the cards to be pretty, yet easy to put together so we can make many. I plan on us using up some scraps to get different color combos for the thank you cards.

This was the first time I dug into my new Stampin’ UP Demonstrator goodies & I had a lot of fun using some new goodies. I used a bunch of new items on this card that are from the new Occasions Mini catalog. I am really digging the versatility of the stamp and die set I used on today’s card & also used them on another card I will share later this week. You might see these sets a TON. Just warning ya!!

The adorable “thanks so much” sentiment is a combo of stamps & dies. These actually can be purchased in a bundle for 15% less than if purchased individually. The die set is called Hello You. & I cut out the “thanks” in Pumpkin Pie cardstock. The stamp set is called Crazy About You (the flower stamp is also from this set).

To stamp the flower & the “so much” part of the sentiment, I used Coastal Cabana ink. This is one of my fave colors recently.

The card base is So Saffron cardstock. I used a standard size card base.

The striped patterned paper is an old one from Echo Park’s Dots & Stripes collection.

And finally, I embossed the darker teal cardstock using an embossing folder called Spring Flowers. This was a paper scrap so I am not 100% sure what color this was. I think it is a Papertrey Ink cardstock possibly.

For this card layout, I used this week’s sketch from Mojo Monday.

And today, I put together a color combo for you based on my card! I plan on adding these color combos for you guys just for a little extra inspiration. Feel free to pin, share, and use this color combo! I’m calling these new color combos, SP Everyday Color Combos

And that’s it for today! I am seriously on a creative roll these days. I might end up having a project or video for you every day for the rest of the week. It just depends on how quick I can get these projects typed up for ya šŸ˜‰ I craft faster than I type right now lol!

Have a great day!

SP Color Combo #147: Teddy Christmas Card

Hi everyone!

Today I am back with another wintery color combo to share. I created a project using this color combo also. I even created a speed coloring video for ya šŸ™‚

REMINDER: Today is the LAST DAY to enter to win that great ink organizer from Organize More!! Don’t miss your chance to enter. You can share again for additional entries if you have already entered.

Here’s the color combo:

The ADORABLE image I used on today’s project is Teddy Staying Toasty from the Gill Roberts collection at SP and Company. I just think this little guy is the cutest thing with his little smile and closed eyes!!

VIDEO COMING SOON -had some uploading issues this morning.

I colored him up with the following Copics:

  • For the fur: E55, E57, E59, E49
  • For the heating pad: C00, C0, C1, C3
  • For the sweater: V20, V22, V28
  • For the purples on the hat: V0000, V12, V15
  • For the scarf & hat: BG45, BG49, BG18
  • For the polka dots: C10
  • For the airbrushing: V25

The card base is Aqua Mist card stock from Papertrey Ink. I stamped it using the Hearts on String stamp in Coastal Cabana ink from Stampin Up. These two colors paired perfectly together for a tone on tone look.

And I just adore this hearts on string image! It is going to make Valentine projects super easy, but I thought it looked so great on my wintery project today.

I cut around the Teddy Staying Toasty image with a die I got from Stampin’ UP recently. I have a haul video coming up later this week talking about my order with Stampin’ UP.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment onto the gray cardstock using the same ink from above. This “Happy Winter” sentiment is from the Skating Penguin stamp set from the Tina Wenke collection.

The finished card measures 4.25×5.5inches.

What do you think of this winter color combo? I think it is divine! lol

If you play along using this color combo, be sure to leave me a link to your project in the comments section below. I would LOVE to see what you do with this combo!

That’s all for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

SP Color Combo #146

Hi everyone!

Today, I am getting really crafty this afternoon, but I don’t have a project to share with you today (only a color combo!). We had some fun times this weekend (well scary and then a little fun). As many of you know, we recently moved to IL. Well we didn’t get hit with much of the bad weather, BUT we were under a tornado warning for part of the day on Sunday. Since the bad tornadoes were happening all around our town, we took this very seriously & camped out with the dogs & the canary in our basement (unfinished). Since Sundays are my crafty day on the weekend, I didn’t get any crafting done. The good news is, our town was spared from any of the really bad weather. We just had crazy winds & some rain. It looked very scary out side & we really weren’t sure what to expect here in IL. The radar showed that we were right in the path of the worst parts of the storm, but right as the bad stuff passed over us, it split and when around both sides of our town, and then the strip of bad weather became one strip again. It was so strange! It looked like for sure we were going to get slammed. We were very lucky. I feel so sad for the towns around us that were hit really bad. I hope everyone stayed safe out there. It’s times like this where I feel very thankful.

Did you have any storms in your area?

Anyway, so we were in the unfinished basement & I haven’t really gone down there much. Sometimes I kind of forget we even have a basement! The dogs had never been down there so when we realized we were going to be safe, but still under the warning, we just hung out down there, talking & playing with the dogs. I also spent some time imagining how awesome our basement could be someday. If we stay here long enough, we will probably get the basement finished, but not for a long time yet.

Do you have a basement? I’ve only ever had a walk out basement in a split-level house (while growing up) and it didn’t “feel” like a real basement. This is both our first times having a true basement.

Alrighty so let’s talk color combos! Monday through Friday this week, I am going to have a color combo for you guys for Winter Hues week. I continued with the #s we’ve been using for SP Color Combos. So this color combo is #146. Feel free to use this color combo on your project & leave me a comment with a link to your project. I would love to check out what you made with it!!

I’m hoping to have enough time this week to conquer all of these new color combos, but we shall see!

Tomorrow, I am going to have another color combo for you & either a project to go with it, or a tutorial/review. Today, I am playing catch up so I am not sure about tomorrow yet šŸ™‚ LOL.

Have a great day!
