Glue Dots Easter Window Card

Hi everyone! Today I have another Glue Dots project to share with you. This one is another out of the box type of card project.

Complete card instructions are at the bottom of this post.

Now let’s be honest. . . attaching buttons to a card or layout is a PAIN. Well, with Glue Dots, it is so easy! No more worrying about buttons and thicker embellishments falling off of your project. Using Glue Dots for attaching embellishments is my #1 way in which I use my Glue Dots. They are just the absolute best way I have found to attach an embellishment.

Here is a look at the card while it is closed:

You can see in this photo how the die template presses into the cardstock and makes a cute impression on the inside of the card. It is subtle, but really elegant looking.

Supplies:
Craft Glue Dots® Dispenser
Pop Up Glue Dots®
Purple and Green cardstock (Stampin’ UP)
Easter egg, Easter sentiment, and chick stamps (SP and Company)
Pink Button (Stampin’ UP)
Purple Twine (The Twinery)
Purple and Green Ink (Stampin’ UP)
Pink, Purple, and Yellow alcohol Markers (Copics)
Label die template (Spellbinders)
Manual die cutting machine (Sizzix)

Steps:
1. Stamp chick and cut it out. Color chick with pink, yellow, and purple Copics. Set aside.
2. Cut green cardstock to make card base that measures 4.25X5.5inches when folded in half. Run card through a manual die cutting machine using a label shape so that a window is made on the front of the card.
3. Stamp the front of the card base with Easter egg stamp using green ink.
4. Cut a purple strip of cardstock and stamp it with an Easter sentiment using purple ink. Attach strip to the card base using Craft Glue Dots® Dispenser.
5. Tie twine through the holes in the pink button. Attach button to the card using the Craft Glue Dot® Dispenser. An easy way to do this is to hold the button up to the dispenser and attach the Glue Dot® to the button and then press the button onto your card.
6. Using a Pop Up Glue Dot®, attach the chick to the inside layer of your card so that it is centered in the window cut out. To do this, I closed the card so I could see exactly where the window was positioned.

Easter Egg Glue Dots Card

Hi everyone!  HAPPY FRIDAY!! Yippee!  Do you have any good plans for the weekend?  I do. We are finally going to be going back to our condo on Saturday! I will be so happy to be back to our own home and to my scraproom. The extended stay at my mom’s house has been a royal pain. I have LOVED being with my huskies again. That was the only great thing about house sitting.

Today and tomorrow I have new Glue Dots DT projects to share! I had SO MUCH FUN creating this one! I felt so clever and creative when I came up with this card. He he! You are gonna love it, at least I hope you love it! I don’t usually come up with something that I feel is totally unique and totally creative, but this one it good 🙂

Are you ready to see?  Ha ha, now I might have gotten you all excited over it.

Twine Easter Eggs on a card!!!

Isn’t that the coolest thing!?  The directions for how I created these neat little things is below! With the help of the new XL Glue Dots, these ended up being super duper easy to put together. I have seen people make Twine circles before, for like lollipops and stuff but I haven’t seen a twine egg yet. I am sure they are out there as well.  This is my take on it.

Here’s the finished card:

Supplies:
Purple cardstock (Stampin’ UP)
Pink ribbon (Papertrey Ink)
Twine: Light Blue, Tangerine, and Light Purple (The Twinery)
Easter sentiment (SP and Company)
Corner Rounder (We R Memory Keepers)
Steps:
1. Create card base out of purple cardstock. Cut 8.5X11inch cardstock sheet down the center length-wise to create a 2.25X11inches. Fold in half and punch corners with the corner rounder.
2. Tie pink ribbon into a bow around the card base.
3. Create Easter eggs out of twine using XL Glue Dots® and Mini Glue Dots®. I created mine one at a time. Place XL Glue Dot onto cardstock where desired. At the top of the XL Glue Dot® (the top is the pointy side of the egg), add a couple of mini glue dots.  Starting in the center of the XL Glue Dot®, start winding the twine around into a spiral shape. Make the top pointy as you go and make the bottom rounder to form an egg shape. Keep winding around until you cover the entire XL Glue Dot® & then cut the end of the twine off.
4. Stamp Easter sentiment on your card where desired.

Joy Bunny Baby Card

Hi everyone! I hope that you’ve checked out the super giveaway I posted about yesterday. Have you entered to win some of the juicy prizes? Well go do that!! Click here! I will wait 🙂

OK so let’s talk about today’s project. This is a project I made for The Greeting Farm & it is one of my faves lately. I used the gorgeous Flutter Heart stamp set for this one.

I decided to add a little scallop on the edge of the card to make it more frilly and girl-ified. The scallops went perfectly with this adorable sentiment banner which inspired my project! This little Joy sentiment just screamed baby to me, so I decided to make a little baby girl card with it.  I left this card pretty simple.

This little glitter bunny is something I picked up at Michael’s. There were a bunch of these little glittery elements like this one. I picked up a little pack of cute little animals. This pink little bunny worked so well with the sentiment.

Then I added a label die, some patterned paper, and some pink ribbon. Super quick and super easy, but great for a little baby celebration!

Supplies:
Flutter Heart stamp set
Nestabilities Labels Nine
Wisteria Wonder Ink Pad
Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon from Stampin’ UP
Pretty in Pink Cardstock from Stampin’ UP
Pretty in Pink Ink Pad from Stampin’ UP
Tim Holtz Ink Applicator
My Mind’s Eye 6×6 Paper Pad
Crumb Cake (Kraft) Cardstock from Stampin’ UP
Rustic Cream Cardstock from Papertrey Ink
Large Scallop Border die from Papertrey Ink
Pop Up Glue Dots (r)
Glitter Bunny Charmy thing from Michael’s
