New COLOR CHALLENGE, featuring Guest Designer Leah!

Hi there, stampy friends!  It’s time to BREAK OUT THE BUBBLY!  🙂

This is Leah the Orange as SP & Company’s Guest Designer (for April – but it’s May now and I’m not asking questions!), and I am absolutely tickled PINK (and red, and grey – WINK, WINK, NUDGE, NUDGE!) to be playing host for this one!  🙂

Today, we are launching a brand new COLOR CHALLENGE, and this might be a great combo for those of you getting ready for a special weekend ahead.  Show us your PINK, RED and GREY!

Our SP Color Combo rules are simple:
*At least one SP product must be used on your project. Don’t own any of our fabulous stamps or color supplies yet? Well, then head to the store and check us out! Our stamps start at $1.99! We also offer a couple of freebie digital stamps as well so everyone can play along.
*Projects must be NEWLY CREATED just for our challenge (no backlinking & please link to us so we know you are really playing along).

It’s MOTHER’S DAY soon here in North America, and what a great time to show your Mom, Mother-in-Law, Grandmother, or any woman in your life that you think she’s pretty special.  I think this Best Mom Ever stamp set from Gill Roberts is too stinkin’ cute, and I know my Mother-in-Law is going to love this card…  I totally made it with her in mind, as I know she has a lot of those CALGON, TAKE ME AWAY moments!  And the gorgeous Carta Bella Beautiful Moments collection has such elegant and feminine papers, they were the perfect match!  Case in point…

Can you just FEEL the stress oozing out of you?  What a fabulous little scene!  So much fun to color, too, with the bubbles and lots of room for imagination.  🙂  Here’s a close-up of our bathing beauty:

And it totally makes me wish I had one of those deep, old-fashioned clawfoot tubs so I can enjoy some of those Calgon moments, too!  The “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment comes from the same set (which, for the record, has a total of SIX cute sentiments with fabby fonts!), and I embellished a smidge to girlie it up even more.  And voila!  Thank you, Sami, for allowing me to join you and your awesome team at SP & Company!

Want to play along?  Join the challenge and link up below. Entries are due by Tuesday, May 14th at noon EST. One winner will be chosen to receive a $10 Gift Certificate!!

Soak Up the Sun

Hi!
Chrissie here to share a super cute card with you! I was so excited to use the newly released Beach Girl in the Gill Roberts Collection.  My little girl is obsessed with the beach and this stamp had her written all over it!

It pairs perfectly with the sun from the Falling for Autumn set and I used a button in the NEW color collection.  Everything matches – it is seriously awesome! The orange is Clownfish and coordinates wonderfully along with the ink pad.  I love things that match!

To create the sand look, I just did the stippling technique.  It sounds harder than it is – start out with a few dots.  The more you add with your marker (or pencil), the darker it gets.  So, I added more dots and even a few different colors of tan where I wanted a shadow.

Thanks for stopping by today and don’t forget to play along in our current Trends Challenge – Fun with Inks!

Love u

Hi everyone! It’s Michelle here hijacking the blog today! 😉  I am one of those people who loves to find new and interesting ways to use my products. I like to get a bang for my buck!  While playing around with the new Big Build A Banner 2 Die and Stamp set I discovered how to get a thin and PERFECT outline banner. I  took pictures as I went along so that you could see how to do it. It’s so simple it’s scary! 😉

This little red border is what we are going to create. I did fill the bottom of mine it to make it look more cohesive with the patterned paper.

Here is the card I created. I am in a house full of men/boys and I am always looking for manly/boyish cards. I used Basic Grey’s new Fact/Fiction papers. The ‘u’ is from the Big Build a Banner 2 set and the Sandcastle button is from the new SP in color line! 🙂

Pssst: it should say “lift” your paper in the last block of the tutorial. So sorry!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a phenomenal day! 🙂
