Saturday Scraps

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the first ever Saturday Scraps. Like I said in the previous Sunday Scoop, this blog series is just going to be about showing off some crafty eye candy. No directions or tutorials, just projects projects and more projects.

Some weeks I will have a lot to share. Some weeks it might just be a project or two. Some weeks I will just skip this post altogether. It all just depends on how the crafty mojo is flowing 🙂

Enjoy it!

Spooky Sunset Tutorial with Halloween Girl Stamp Set

Hi everyone!Welcome to our new bloggy series called Wild Wednesday.  In this series, I plan on mixing things up. This is another opportunity for tutorials, tips & tricks, and mini series.  I am working on a mini series that has been highly requested, but until it is ready, I am going to be sharing projects/tutorials for the first few Wednesday 🙂

What do you want to see for Wild Wednesday??

For this Wild Wednesday, I have a tutorial for you using the new Halloween Girl stamp set. I had mentioned I had some fun plans for the bat and moon shape from this stamp set, so that is what I have for you today.

I filmed a video showing my process for creating this scene. Enjoy!

What’s neat about this is that you can create any kind of sunset or background you like.

Click here to see the inking tutorial for the background.

You could use any colors of ink, or even just use some black, orange, or gray cardstock as the background. If you use black cardstock, the bat shapes could be embossed so they pop of the page.

As you can see, there are tons of ways to create this same type of card using the Halloween Girl stamp set. I think these element stamps in the set are pretty spectacular!

Here’s another look at my project:

I hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial. Be sure to play along with Fall & Halloween Week by linking up your creations here.
