Today I just have a quick card to share with you that I made for Mother’s Day. I sent this card out to my mother-in-law. To cut out the mom & scallop layers, I used the Silhouette Cameo & just designed the cuts. I will get a cut file added to the SP Digi Shop shortly. The file is just on my other computer at the time of me writing this.
The papers I used for this card are supplies I got from MarkerPOP.com as shown in yesterday’s haul video. I used the Hello Sunshine paper pad from Pink Paislee along with some of the Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock.
The sentiment I used is from an SP & Company set called Best Mom Ever, which is now out of stock. I stamped it in a Stampin’ UP Ink, I think it is called Coastal Cabana.
To be honest, I had a little mishap while making this card. I actually filmed the entire card assembly process and then went to hit “stop recording”. Yeah, I never hit the “START recording” button. . . oops! Sometimes that’s the way things work lol. What’s the funniest thing you’ve done lately?
For this card, I used the Best Mom Ever stamp set that is part of our new Gill Roberts Collection. I have a speed coloring video to go along with this one too (near the end of this post.).
This card is a larger square card. It measures 5.5inches square. (means the paper was 5.5X11inches, I just cut one time on the 8.5inch side of an 8.5X11 sheet).
The patterned paper I used is from the True Friends paper pad from Carta Bella. It’s easy to match up a few patterned papers when using a paper pad. I decided to mat the main image using a thick frame of the polka dot paper.
The image/frame and the sentiment banner are all popped up using foam adhesive so they pop off the card.
Here’s my speed coloring video:
To go along with the “Pamper Yourself” themed Mother’s Day card, I am going to give her a few bath and body goodies to go with it. Well, that’s all I have for you today! See ya back here tomorrow for Tutorial Tuesday. Have a good one!!
Hi everyone! Happy Saturday. Now, I have hinted at this day earlier this week on our FB page. I said that we would give you a chance to share your SP Projects with us on Saturday and it is true!!
It’s going to be super simple. Basically each week on Saturday, we are going to give you an opportunity to show off your SP Projects with a Linky Party. All you have to do is add a direct link to your NEWLY created projects using SP STAMPS. Here are some guidelines:
No blog? No problem! Feel free to link up your creations posted into an online gallery! We want you all to participate!
You must use SP & Company stamps and mention/link that you are playing along with our Saturday Share Link Party.
You can link up as many new SP projects as you would like for that week, but only link to each creation ONE time (no duplicate linking).
All projects must be NEW creations made within a week of the start of that Saturday Share.
And you guys really start getting into this and we get a lot of participants, we may add a weekly spotlight to this as well. I really hope you will show us your SP projects so we can check you out!
Ok so for this first Saturday Share, I decided to create something with some of our older SP Stamps! Here is my project:
To create the sentiment banner, I pulled out lots of the Mix ‘n Match sentiments sets to create this perfect sentiment:
The “For My” came from the Mix ‘n Match: Kids stamp set.
The “Wonderful” came from the Mix ‘n Match: Occasions stamp set.
The “Mom” came from the Mix ‘n Match: Family stamp set.
The background was made with some pearly ink and a poppy stamp from the Poppy Field Summer stamp set.
I added a big pink bow as a finishing touch and my card was complete.
Now it’s your turn!! Link up to your newly created project using your SP & Company Stamps. I cannot wait to see what you have to share this week!!
