Since I had some requests for a Tape Depot ATG review, I held off on filming this video until I had tested out the tape enough to give my opinion about it. I am definitely happy with it! I’m really glad I found them!

So here is my tutorial and review:

And that is it for today. On Wednesday I am going to try to have a card tutorial for you & I might even have a new video for Friday. Hope you have a lovely day!

Hello Daddy Layout + Technique Video

Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday!

Today I have a layout featuring some of Olivia’s beautiful newborn photos. I recently shared a photo slideshow (click here) of some of her newborn photos so be sure to check it out. I am sure over time I will scrap all of these photos so you will get to see them again 😉 I used two of them on today’s project.

To go along with today’s video, I created a quick technique video sharing how I added ribbon to this layout. This is just an easy technique that I like to use to attach ribbon to my projects. My video is up first & then all the layout details are below!

I used a sketch from Stuck Sketches as my jumping off point for this layout, but I don’t think it looks very much like the sketch.

The ribbon used for the technique is Strawberry Slush ruffle trim which is now retired & only available as a digital download for digi scrappers.

The pink cardstock is Pink Pirouette 12×12 cardstock from Stampin’ UP. I actually did a cheater method on this layout. I cut out the center of the 12×12 sheet & then used the center piece to create the photo mat piece. That way I only ended up using one 12×12 for the layout. Sneaky huh?

The large polka dot paper is called Multi Stripe & it’s from My Mind’s Eye and is from the Lucky in Love collection. I cut this piece at 11inches so that there was a half inch border of the pink cardstock around the edge of my layout.

The pink striped paper is also from My Mind’s Eye, but I am not sure which collection is was from (Maybe Lost & Found? It’s an older design). I used the stripe paper two different places & decided to use my Stampin’ UP scallop edge border punch on one of the pieces.

The camera patterned paper is from Bella Blvd & I received it in a Studio Calico kit.

I cut out the “Hello” using my Big Shot with the Stampin’ UP Hello You Thinlits pack. The orange striped patterned paper is from an older version of the Echo Park Dots & Stripes collection.

The “daddy” part of the title was made with some puffy alphas from an old Studio Calico kit.

The heart brad & xo wooden button are both from Freckled Fawn kits. The clothespin is from American Crafts & I received it in a Studio Calico kit a long time ago.

For the journaling, I actually chopped up a Project Life journaling card & used a Project Life journaling pen to do my writing.

Here are some close up shots:

And that was it! I kept the layout quite simple, but I still love how it turned out. Sometimes I feel like my simplest cards & layouts are my best ones.

What do you think? Are you an over the top embellisher or do you like to keep it clean and simple?

I plan on sharing another project with you guys next Wednesday so I will see you soon. Have a lovely day!

Stamping Basics 101

Hey everyone! Happy Saturday!

**Announcement**
After much consideration, I have decided that I want to start transitioning to weekday crafty video making! I am going to aim for 5 crafty videos a week, Monday through Friday. If I have a project that doesn’t need a video, I will post it on the weekends, but I am just concentrating on the Monday through Friday schedule right now & giving myself a break on the weekends. I really want to have a video every weekday for you guys! It’s going to take me a couple of weeks to get completely on the new schedule because I already have blog posts & videos lined up for the next couple of weeks 🙂 I just wanted to give you a little heads up that I am going to be moving to mostly just weekdays only!

Today I have a video all about stamping basics. When I asked for questions recently for a Q&A there were quite a few stamping related questions so I decided to make an entire video about stamping for y’all. This covers a lot of info about the kinds of stamps out there and all the accessories that you will need to go along with your stamps.

Near the end, I also cover some ways to get a better impression with your stamp if you are having trouble getting a good impression.

If you have other stamping related questions, feel free to ask them in the comments section below and I will try to cover those questions in future videos.

I hope you enjoyed today’s video. I’ve been meaning to make a stamping basics video for a while so thank you to those of you who asked stamping questions!! Have a great day!
