Today I have a Freckled Fawn kit layout to share. I really love the fun colors of the June kits, and they worked beautifully with the layout I created.
If you guys have been here before, you probably know how I scrap, but again I made this two page layout as a project life/traditional scrapping hybrid of sorts that I like to call the cheater method. I incorporate a ton of photos into my album, by including pages such as this. And I love having traditional pages mixed in with project life style pages in my album. I do this by adhering all my project life style spread directly down to 12×12 cardstock so I don’t have to worry about all the different pocket pages being mixed in with 12×12 pages and having to put certain types of pages on the front and back. This gives me the freedom to create whatever style page layout on each side of the page.
On the traditional page, I decided to put the acrylic phrase directly over the photo because there was a lot of extra space in the photo. I really like how it looked over the photo.
I used a couple of the cute washi borders: one near the top of my photo & one down the right side of the layout. I also added a few of the little enamel hearts to the layout.
The title was made with a combo of alphas from my stash. The background paper is something I picked up somewhat recently but I can’t recall the collection name.
Last but not least, I added my favorite cork scallop at the bottom edge of the photo & layered it with one of the chipboard phrases from the kit.
These are among my favorite photos of my little girl (who is now 2) when she was a tiny baby. I kept the spread very simple, but the June kit really made it beautiful.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a lovely day!
