  • I’m 15 weeks pregnant this week & I posted my pregnancy update yesterday. Click here to see it now! I talked about a couple of personal things that are going on including Snow the husky dog getting sick & some family stresses.
  • Snow the husky had to stay at the vet yesterday due to dehydration and indigestion. She’s now on lots of meds to get her tummy under control, but it’s obvious she’s still not 100% yet. They are running additional tests because her thyroid test showed that she may have hypothyroidism. If she does have it, she will be medicated for the rest of her life to manage it. She’s now just getting lots of rest and lots of loves. She’s 13, nearly 14 years old now so any ordeal is a serious one for her due to her age. Please keep her in your thoughts/prayers. We’d really appreciate it.
  • My scrap room is FINALLY cleaned up!! I really forced myself to get in there and get things all organized again! Now I am really ready to start crafting up a storm starting next week.
  • I say next week because my hubby is taking some vacation time this week & I am trying to spend a lot of time with him while he’s home. College football starts tomorrow so I plan on sneaking away to get crafty while he watches :) We had a great date night on Monday at a Japanese Steakhouse & it was so nice to just go out and enjoy ourselves at a nice restaurant. We also had some sushi (nothing raw!) We also stopped at Krispy Kreme for my donut loving hubby.

  • This last week, my lovely Spooky stamp kit came in the mail from when I pre-ordered it through OH MY WORD this kit is so darling! I plan on making some Halloween cards coming up shortly. Little Halloween monsters are just too cute! I’m pretty sure that this kit is still available for sale over at The Greeting Farm’s store so pick one up if you are interested. Please let me know if you happen to shop on their website because they now have a referral program and I would love to get credit for turning you on to TGF.
  • I started making some baby themed thank you cards this week also. I have the card bases all made & a few designs are floating around in my head. I’ll share those when I get them designed and finalized.
  • No Project Life-ing for me lately! I’ve really just been in crochet mode which has been kind of fun and different. I’m still working on a two color baby blanket that I shared in my first Crochet Nook video on my family Youtube Channel. It’s maybe half way done now. I’m slow lol.
  • I made a little gift + card for one of my friend’s little boys for his birthday. I will share the project details for this next week!

And that’s pretty much it for this week! Like I said in the video, I will be back to Monday Scoop next week. Things were just strange because of the Creative Hop + Prenatal Appointment + Hubby taking time off. Things should be back to normal next week. I am STILL behind on sending out prizes so I apologize for that. I am determined to catch up next week & get everything shipped out!

Creative Bloggers Hop

Hey everyone!

I’ve have our scoop on Wednesday this week because I was asked to participate in a neat little hop today! I was chosen by Kelli, who is one of my favorite crafty friends. She makes such adorable, bright cards and I just absolutely love her sense of style & color selection. I was honored to be chosen by her. Thanks, Kelli! Please be sure to check out Kelli’s beautiful work by clicking on her name above.

The Creative Bloggers Hop is a continuous hop every Monday.  An invited blogger answers some questions and then nominates/invites three other inspirational bloggers to participate in the hop the following Monday.

Now to answer a few questions. . .

1. What am I working on at the moment?

I’m beginning to work on some baby themed thank you cards because we’ve already received a couple of gifts & I really want to make sure I tell everyone how thankful I am for those. I’m not very far on the thank you cards yet. I’ve also been working to try and catch up on Project Life 2014. I’m many many weeks behind since getting pregnant lol. You can find all my Project Live 2014 process videos over on Youtube here.

2. How does my work differ from others in my genre?

I think I have a no fuss, anyone-can-do-it approach to crafting. I feel like crafting should be about having fun & letting yourself explore creatively. I encourage others to just try things out & I also like to keep things simple, rather than super fussy or over the top. I think all this comes out in my relatively simple & easy style that I use for my projects. I try to show that anyone can make spectacular projects that they can be proud of.

3. Why do I craft what I do?

I like to make scrapbook layouts to preserve & share my family’s memories. I scrapbook rather than use photo albums because I love for things to look pretty & I like to use pretty paper and stamps :) I like to make cards because receiving a handmade card is something very special & I really enjoy making them! Paper crafting is my stress relief & my creative outlet. I love being able to say “I made that!”

Week 15 Project Life 2014 Scrapbook Process

4. How does my creative process work?

This is a hard one! I don’t really have a set “process”. I’m generally always thinking in terms of paper crafting. I think about new project ideas constantly, from the time I wakeup in the morning to the time I go to bed. I seem to always have ideas floating around in my head. When I sit down to make a project, generally I have an idea in my head that I want to try out, but it something goes in a direction I don’t expect, which is always fun!

And now I’m supposed to nominate 3 people that inspire me to answer the questions. The problem was, I couldn’t narrow it down to just 3 inspiring crafters! SO I am nominating YOU! If you are a crafty blogger reading this, YOU are nominated to participate. I get so much inspiration from everyone & I’d love to hear your answers to the questions above. Please have a blog post next Monday for the Creative Bloggers Hop. And don’t forget to drop back by here and leave me a link so I can check out your answers!

That’s it for today. Happy crafting & have a happy start to your week!!

Hey everyone!

I hope you are enjoying your Friday! Today is my last day over on the MarkerPOP Blog as I my term is over and I decided to leave the team. For my project today, I’ve got a Copic tutorial for you, using the Copic Airbrush System & an adorable Lawn Fawn stamp set called Love You S’more.

To create my project I did a lot of masking so that I could have a one layer card. I hope you like it!
