Freckled Fawn OHDEERME Embellishment Kit + Meet My Daughter

Hey everyone!

I’m actually writing this blog post up right before posting it. No pre-scheduled weeks in advance posts here. :)

I finally had my little girl, Olivia, at the very end of February on 2/28/15 & we are both doing very well. She is now 3 weeks old! It is so hard to believe she’s already almost a month old. Motherhood has been amazing thus far & we are totally head over heels in love with her. If you haven’t been keeping up with me on Instagram or on my Vanilla Mom youtube (family) channel, then feel free to check out both and learn more about Olivia. Here are some photos for you in any case!

This is one of her first photos after she was born:

Thanks for letting me show off my little cutie pie! OK So now let’s get down to the crafty stuff! I’ve got the March Freckled Fawn kit to share today. In the video below, I walk through the kit contents step by step. Next month, the kit is changing so I also discuss those changes in this video.

DIY Christmas Gifts Family Tradition

Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday!

This is a pre-scheduled post that will be going up during my post partum break. If you’d like to stay in the know about all things baby, be sure to check me out on Instagram @thescrapmaster or check out my family youtube channel. I will be back to making regular videos on both channels as soon as I can.

So today I wanted to share my Christmas gifts idea with you.

xmasgiftidea_022515

This is something that I started a few years back & I think it is a great Christmas gift for family members. Especially now that we are having our little girl, this will be the perfect way for the family to get some extra photos and be able to keep up with our little girl’s life.

Enjoy!

Now I haven’t been great about sending these layout every single year, but I have tried to do so most years for the last few Christmases. This year I actually was WAY late! I said in the video mid-January I will send these out, but I actually decided to hold onto each set & add in 2 more pages covering our daughter’s birth. That way we weren’t mailing out two sets of photos shortly after one another. It delayed the gifts, but I know everyone will be thrilled to have newborn photos also.

I hope you liked this Christmas gift idea. Since I am sharing it late, if you decide to implement this new idea, you will be super early for this Christmas :)

Have a great day!

Steely Blue Birthday Card

Hey everyone!

Today, I’ve got another prescheduled post for ya. I’m sharing a pretty simple card. I picked a different type of color combo for this one and I really like how the colors came out.

bluebirthday_3

As you well know, I am obsessed with this stamp and die combo lately! I’ve used them on quite a few cards already, but I had to use it again for this birthday card.

All the stamps I used are from the Crazy About You stamp set. The sentiment “birthday” was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I stamped the flower in Smoky Slate ink.

The “happy” die I used on the Whisper White cardstock came from the coordinating die set called Hello You. You can purchase the stamp and die sets together in a bundle and save 15%.

The card base is just a standard size card base made out of Tempting Turquoise cardstock. The gray striped patterned paper on the bottom of the paper is from an older Echo Park Dots & Stripes paper pad. Ive been using these simple patterns on everything lately! They just add such a great touch. I love using basic patterns like stripes, chevrons, and dots on my cards.

The pretty little bow was added using some old retired Stampin’ UP ribbon. I think this is Taffeta.

To finish off the card, I added a tiny enamel dot that was from a past Studio Calico kit.

And that was it! This card came together so quickly because it was very simple. This could definitely be easily mass produced.

To go along with this card, I again made a SP Everyday Color Combo for your inspiration. Feel free to use this on your project & share the swatch.
